Breweries Mooresville NC King Canary Beers

King Canary

King Canary opened its doors back in 2018; it was started by Matt and Andrea Gravina.  Unfortunately, in less than a year of opening, Matt passed away unexpectedly in 2019.

Andrea & the team at King Canary have been able to keep Matt’s legacy going and have turned this into a successful brewery here in Mooresville.  Their concept is a family-friendly microbrewery. Upstairs, you will find a kid’s play area, and games are available outside.

Here, you can enjoy outdoor seating as well as inside the 2-story building.  As you sit, you can also enjoy views of Lake Norman from the patio.  Dogs are welcome in all the outside areas.

They also have food trucks; you will want to check their calendar for the schedule!

In the warmer months, join them for the social paddle club, get out on Lake Norman, and bring your kayak, canoe, or SUP.  Happens every Tuesday at 6:30 pm; they ask that you sign a waiver and bring a life jacket.

In addition to beer, they also serve prosecco on tap, wine, and cider.  They do offer non-alcoholic options as well, a locally brewed Kombucha from Lenny Boy and Uncle Scott’s natural root beer.

You can also take beer to go with a crowler and 16 oz-4 packs.   If you don’t know what a crowler is, it’s like a growler but in a can.

We stopped in, and they only had one of their own beers; the rest were from other breweries.

I’m sure since they are new, they will be adding more of their own over time. We played some music bingo on a Tuesday night and had a lot of fun!
