Fayetteville, North Carolina, is best known as the home to Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg), a US Army base that is also the largest military base by population in the world.

Fayetteville is the 6th largest city in North Carolina, with a population of over 200,000, and is a diverse city rooted in a rich history. It’s hard not to fall in love with this place, and you’ll see why once you get there.

The history of Fayetteville can be traced back to settlements along the Cape Fear River. The trading posts of Campbellton and Cross Creek were established by immigrants from Scotland during the mid-1700s. These settlements merged in 1783, and the town was renamed Fayetteville.
