1. Greensboro Science Center

Exhibits include Skywild, a large treetop adventure park with 60 animal-inspired ropes courses and challenges, the Rotary Club of Greensboro Carousel, a historic carousel with 56 handmade figures and animals to ride upon, laser shows, and so much more.

2. Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden

28. Bur-Mil Park

Bur-Mil Park is a local favorite park that has been open since 1989. The park is popular for its mountain biking trails, specifically the Owls Roost trail, a 4.6-mile loop around the park. If you love golf, you can enjoy their lighted 9-hole course and also a 250-yard driving range with 20 positions.
Many also come to the park to see the Frank Sharpe Jr. Wildlife Education Center, a science center housed in a renovated barn that has been on the property since the early 1900s. The center has live animal exhibits, hands-on interactive learning games for toddlers and children, trail maps, and more.

29. Atlantic and Yadkin Greenway

The Atlantic and Yadkin Greenway is a 12.5-mile greenway that starts at Lake Brandt and goes to Greensboro Country Park. The greenway follows an old rail system that was removed and turned into a path. Bikes, walkers, dogs, and strollers are all welcome on the Greenway. It’s a great place to stretch your legs and see some of the beautiful scenery in and around Greensboro.
From the Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway, you can access the Piedmont Trail, a 5.7-mile hiking trail that hugs Lake Brandt. It is considered an easy trail and takes under two hours to complete.
